APPLIED MATERIALS EXCELLENCE IN THE ARTS – TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE GRANTS
Accepting applications thru May 30
Applied Materials Excellence in the Arts program provides up to $2500 for activities that support administrative development and organizational infrastructure. Eligibility limited to organizations that have received a grant from Arts Council Silicon Valley within the last three years (since July 1, 2009).

1STACT SILICON VALLEY & SAN JOSE DOWNTOWN ASSOCIATION – SMALL WONDERS INNOVATION FUND
Accepting applications now
The Small Wonders Innovation Fund (SWIF) offers up to $5000 in the form of one-time capital investment or operating funds for downtown stakeholders willing to activate the public realm. One-time investments for new ideas or new elements of established activities will range in amount according to need, merit and alignment with SWIF priorities.

SANCHEZ ART CENTER – 50-50 SHOW IV
Entry deadline: May 12 (postmarked) or May 13 (hand-delivery)
Sanchez Art Center (SAC) in Pacifica is seeking California artists (18 and older) for our fourth annual 50-50 Show. Accepted artists will create 50 small works over the course of 50 days. Each artist chooses a theme for their 50 pieces, and uses the same medium for all 50 pieces. Production for participating artists will begin June 11 and end July 30, 2012.

Artist Haven Gallery in Fort Lauderdale, Florida is receiving entries for its 2012 international painting competition. Multiple submissions allowed in several categories, for cash and awards valued over $10,000.

SAN JOSE OFFICE OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS PUBLIC ART PROGRAM – ART + TECHNOLOGY ROSTER UPDATE
Deadline for submission: June 11, 2012
The San Jose Office of Cultural Affairs Public Art Program is seeking artists for the Art + Technology roster to create projects for the Norman Y. Mineta San José International Airport (SJC) and other technology-oriented public art projects in San Jose.

2012 MET LIFE NUESTRAS VOCES NATIONAL PLAYWRITING COMPETITION

Accepting submissions of full Latino stage plays. In 2000 MetLife Foundation and Repertorio Español joined forces to establish The MetLife Nuestras Voces National Playwriting Competition in the hopes of discovering new American plays by established and emerging Latino playwrights writing about the many themes and topics relevant to the Hispanic communities across the United States.

CENTER FOR CULTURAL INNOVATION – NEXT GEN ARTS INITIATIVE
NextGen survey open now
Through CCI's Creative Capacity Fund's NextGen Professional Development Program, emerging arts leaders currently working for a California nonprofit arts organization may be eligible to apply for up to $1,000 in grant subsidies to take workshops, attend conferences or work with career coaches or management consultants. Taking the NextGen Survey fulfills one of the eligibility requirements for a NextGen Professional Development Grant. Surveys must be completed at least one month prior to the rolling application deadline, which occurs on the 15th of each month.
